Description

Ascent Systems Technologies develops advanced autonomous platforms for persistent operation in remote, harsh, and infrastructure-limited environments. Our systems combine autonomous energy, automation and control, advanced sensing, edge computing and AI, multi-modal communications, and autonomous aerial and ground vehicle operations. We are seeking a highly capable new graduate or early-career engineer with a strong multidisciplinary background to join our growing technical team. This role is for someone who enjoys working across traditional engineering boundaries and turning complex technologies into functioning autonomous systems. Your roleYou will contribute to the development, integration, testing, and evolution of Ascent's autonomous platforms. Responsibilities include: Integration of sensors, communications, computing, control, and autonomous subsystemsDevelopment and implementation of automation and control functionsSensor integration, data processing, and multi-sensor fusionIntegration of UAVs, UGVs, and other autonomous systemsEmbedded and edge-computing applicationsSystem-level testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimizationField testing and validationTechnical analysis and support of customer demonstrations and programsYou will work directly with company leadership and experienced engineers on defence, security, Arctic, and autonomous infrastructure applications.
