Job Title: Junior Software Test & Quality EngineerJob Description
As a Junior Software Test & Quality Engineer, you will support the development and execution of quality assurance activities to ensure our products and software meet performance, reliability, and user expectations.
Working closely with engineering and product teams, you will assist with testing efforts, defect tracking, process improvement initiatives, and automation projects while gaining exposure to embedded systems, connected devices, and software quality best practices.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand product requirements, features, and intended functionality.Develop and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test procedures for software and hardware-integrated products.Identify, document, and track software defects and work with development teams to verify resolutions.Assist in regression, functional, exploratory, and system-level testing activities.Support test automation initiatives through scripting and automated test frameworks.Collect and analyze test results to identify trends, quality issues, and opportunities for improvement.Participate in root cause investigations and support corrective and preventive actions.Help maintain quality documentation, testing processes, and best practices.Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on product quality and testing efficiency.Support cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and customer support teams.Assist in ensuring products meet applicable quality and regulatory requirements.Stay current with emerging technologies, quality tools, and testing methodologies.

Work Environment
This is a hybrid role allowing 2 days offsite once up and running.
You will work in a lab and office environment with flexible hours.
The company, which has now grown to over 150 individuals, provides lunch twice a week to everyone.
You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with large utilities.
The company is currently developing an internal stock plan, growth plan, and a 'no limit PTO' plan.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.65/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
