About The Role ManTech is seeking a motivated and experienced Front End Developer to join our dedicated team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role involves designing and developing sophisticated web-based user interfaces for operational tools and capability management systems used by intelligence and security agencies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating intuitive, responsive, and accessible web applications that facilitate complex data visualization and streamline operator workflows. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including back-end developers, data scientists, and operational personnel, to deliver solutions that meet stringent security and operational requirements. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to national security initiatives, working on cutting-edge projects involving real-time data visualization, system health monitoring, and mission telemetry integration. Occasional travel within CONUS (up to 25%) may be required to support operational needs and client engagements. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a combination of education and experience, including a minimum of 3 years of professional front-end development experience. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields, along with relevant experience, are preferred. Alternatively, candidates with a high school diploma or GED combined with extensive experience (8+ years) in front-end development are also encouraged to apply. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript is essential, along with strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular. Familiarity with RESTful API integration, asynchronous data handling, and data visualization libraries like D3.js, Plotly, or Chart.js is required. Knowledge of version control systems such as Git, build tools like Webpack, and package managers (npm, yarn) is also necessary. Preferred qualifications include experience with Golang for backend integration, building applications for cybersecurity operations, and familiarity with frameworks like Svelte and real-time WebSocket implementations. A current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is mandatory for this role. Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of the Front End Developer include designing and developing user interfaces that are both functional and visually compelling for operational systems. The developer will create visualization dashboards that present complex technical data in operator-friendly formats, enabling quick and accurate decision-making. Conducting user research with operational personnel to understand workflow pain points and interface requirements is crucial to ensure the solutions are user-centric. Building responsive and accessible web applications optimized for operational environments, including constrained networks or hardware, is essential. The role also involves integrating front-end applications with back-end APIs, data pipelines, and capability infrastructure to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability. Implementing real-time data visualization features for operational status, system health, and mission telemetry will be a key aspect of the role. Additionally, developing interface components that streamline operator workflows during mission execution will enhance operational efficiency. The developer must also collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that meet stringent security standards and operational requirements.
