Job Description
Technical Consultant (Upgrades), Customer Success
PURPOSE
The Customer Success organization is responsible for driving the successful adoption, expansion, and long-term value realization of Centric Software solutions within our existing customer base, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
As a Technical Consultant, you will provide technical expertise across the Centric Software portfolio, primarily Centric PLM.
You will support customers after their initial implementation by maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing their solutions while ensuring alignment with Centric best practices and product capabilities.
This position reports to the Technical Team Lead, Customer Success.
Following successful onboarding, the reporting line may transition to the Upgrade Manager, Customer Success.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Consulting & Analysis
Analyze customer system configurations, integrations, IT landscapes, and data usage to identify technical risks, issues, and improvement opportunitiesProvide technical recommendations based on Centric best practices and product capabilitiesSupport technical workshops, reviews, and presentations as requiredInvestigate and troubleshoot complex technical issues
Upgrade Delivery
Collect and validate customer environments and data packages required for upgrade preparationRefactor and optimize customer configurations for new product releasesExecute upgrade activities and support technical delivery throughout the upgrade lifecycleSupport User Acceptance Testing (UAT), hypercare, and post-upgrade stabilization activitiesEnsure upgrades are delivered according to quality standards and best practices
Collaboration
Work closely with Customer Success teams, Upgrade Managers, Business Consultants, Support, Cloud Operations, and R&DProvide feedback to Product Management and R&D regarding product improvements and customer requirementsShare technical knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices across internal teams and partnersMaintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, and code of conduct
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise
Deep knowledge of Centric 8 functionality, configuration, and upgrade processesStrong understanding of PLM solutions and enterprise software environmentsExperience in several of the following areas:Configuration and customizationData migration and transformationXML, REST APIs, SQLMessage Queuing (AMQP)Data cleansing and data qualitySSO and identity managementVPN and networking conceptsNode-based data structuresUpgrade planning and executionHigh Availability (HA) and client-server architectures

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience5–10 years of experience in a Technical Consultant, Integration Consultant, Technical Support, or similar role within a PLM or enterprise software organizationExperience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or similar toolsFluent English (written and spoken); German preferredWillingness to travel occasionally to customer locations across Europe
