About The Role
The Staff DevOps Engineer role at Ad Hoc is a senior, strategic position designed for an experienced professional passionate about infrastructure automation, cloud architecture, and software delivery pipelines.
This remote position offers the opportunity to lead and influence the technical direction of critical programs, particularly within the Veterans Affairs business unit.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 9+ years of professional software engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExpert mastery of core DevOps concepts including software installation, virtualization, containerization, and networkingProficient in Terraform/Terragrunt, including module design and multi-environment state management at scaleExtensive experience with GitHub Actions and Argo CD for designing and troubleshooting complex CI/CD pipelinesDeep knowledge of HAProxy/OpenResty in production environmentsStrong expertise in AWS Cloud Services, including EKS/Kubernetes, workload scheduling, and lifecycle managementProven experience leading infrastructure design decisions and communicating tradeoffs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience ensuring systems meet CMS/NIST compliance standards to support Authority to Operate (ATO)U.S.
citizenship or current legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, with ability to complete required government background investigations
