Our Customer is seeking a Software Test Engineer on a contract basis to support their business needs.
This role is hybrid in Carmel, IN.
Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test suitesPerform functional, integration, API, SDK, web application, performance, load, and system testingBuild and maintain UI automation frameworks and automation scriptsExecute API testing to validate application functionality and performanceIdentify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolutionCollaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and improve software quality and test automation frameworksParticipate in Agile development teams to support continuous testing throughout the software development lifecyclePrepare project estimates, task status updates, and testing reportsMonitor testing progress against project timelines and resource plansCreate work instructions, testing documentation, and training materialsSupport product releases by ensuring quality standards are met before production deploymentPerform additional quality assurance and testing activities as assigned
Skills And Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field1+ years of software development experience or 3+ years of automated software testing experienceExperience testing REST and SOAP APIsExperience developing and maintaining automated test scriptsExperience with automated testing tools such as Visual Studio and SeleniumExperience writing SQL queriesExperience using Eclipse IDE or similar development environmentsUnderstanding of UI automation frameworksUnderstanding of software applications developed in .NET, Java, or PHPExperience debugging application codeKnowledge of Agile software development methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skills with excellent attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
