RINA is developing an health smartwatch that supports vital parameter monitoring like heart-rate, sleep, activity, calorie, women health. We are looking for someone who can join to develop RINA’s first functional smartwatch. Your responsibilities Select and integrate microcontrollers, displays, batteries and health sensorsDevelop embedded firmware and Bluetooth Low Energy connectivitySupport circuit design, PCB development and hardware prototypingIntegrate sensors for heart rate, temperature, movement and other parametersTest device performance, connectivity and power consumptionDocument the hardware and firmware architecture Education You are studying or recently graduated in: Electrical EngineeringEmbedded SystemsComputer EngineeringMechatronicsElectronics or a related technical discipline Students should have completed most of their coursework, with only the thesis or final requirement remaining. Required experience Embedded C/C++ programmingMicrocontrollers such as Nordic nRF52/nRF53, STM32 or ESP32Sensor integration using I²C, SPI, UART or ADCBluetooth Low EnergyElectronic prototyping and basic circuit designExperience with KiCad, Altium, Zephyr RTOS, FreeRTOS, low-power systems or previous wearable/IoT projects is an advantage. 📍 On-site Berlin ⏱️ 16 hours per week Interested?
