We are currently seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Opentec team on a full-time basis. The purpose of this position is to manage the assembly and testing of rugged computers, develop and integrate new devices to the system and to provide application engineering assistance to the sales channels when necessary. Duties and Responsibilities Perform the assembly and testing of customer ordered equipment. Computer assembly, maintenance, and repairs. Ensure the manufacture, testing of equipment and production of orders are conducted in a timely fashion. Research and develop any new product relevant to Opentec Solutions range of existing products. Liaise with the General Manager regarding the procurement of specific hardware or software items. Control of non-conforming product. Conform to quality procedures and instructions. Additional responsibilities may include limited interstate or international travel as required. To support Quality Management process in relation to the career position. Be fully aware & support OHS/WHS safety and emergency procedures at Inventis Limited. Soldering, repairs, fine pitch motherboards Qualifications And Experiences Qualification of degree or TAFE Diploma in Computer Science or Electronics. Minimum 2 years’ experience in an R&D environment Focus on Computer Hardware + Software Skills Up to date knowledge of PC architecture and terminology Familiarity with Mil-Spec connectors and custom cable design knowledge is desirable. High attention to detail with high regard for precision fit and finish. Sound understanding of PCB design using Protel / Altium / Eagle Demonstrated experience in embedded software, C or Arduino environments. Advanced use of MS Windows and Linux OS including system configuration and diagnostics. PC and Laptop assembly and repair experience required, phone repair desirable. PC BIOS and driver level admin and diagnostics experience 3D CAD, Autodesk or similar is desirable. Sign and adhere to the company Confidentiality Agreement.
