In Brisbane, our Building Services team delivers complex projects spanning transport, defence, commercial, civic, data centres and large‑scale infrastructure. You'll join a highly collaborative group of engineers, designers, and technical specialists who share knowledge freely and value innovative, sustainable solutions. The Senior Mechanical Engineer plays a pivotal role in leading design packages, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring technical excellence across multidisciplinary coordination. You’ll contribute to shaping projects that influence Brisbane's built environment for decades to come. What You’ll Do In this senior role, you will: Lead small to medium scale mechanical building services projects from concept through to completionContribute to multidisciplinary teams delivering large, complex major projectsProduce and review mechanical design documentation to industry, commercial, and regulatory standardsOversee design coordination across multidisciplinary teamsSupport project planning to meet budget, scope, and program requirementsUndertake site inspections and ensure designs translate seamlessly to installationBuild strong client relationships and contribute to repeat businessMentor, guide and upskill junior and intermediate engineersContribute to technical excellence and continuous improvement across the Mechanical discipline About You You will bring: 6–10 years experience in mechanical building services engineeringA degree in Mechanical or Building Services EngineeringStrong design capability across HVAC, ventilation, heating and associated systemsExperience working within Australian building services consultanciesFamiliarity across multiple sectors (commercial, data centres, education, defence, healthcare etc.)Working knowledge of the BCA, NCC and relevant Australian StandardsAbility to lead small to medium projects and coordinate with all building services disciplinesStrong communication skills and the ability to present confidently to clients and stakeholdersRegistration or eligibility for relevant state engineering registers (advantageous) Why Join Us Hybrid work model — 2 days WFH + flexible hoursExtra purchased leave (up to 4 weeks additional leave) + 16 weeks parental leave Salary Continuation InsuranceClear pathway to leadership in a growing QLD teamEmployee Share Purchase PlanSocial club, wellness initiatives & corporate discountsNational and global mobility opportunitiesSupportive, diverse and inclusive team culture
