Senior .NET Engineer

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior .NET developer who enjoys solving challenging problems and wants to have a real influence on architecture, code quality and engineering practices. 🌍 Important note: We are accepting only candidates who are located within ±1 hour of Ljubljana time (CET/CEST). Office attendance is expected 3 days per week in Ljubljana, with some flexibility depending on the situation. What you'll do Design and develop robust, scalable backend solutions using .NET / C#Build scalable services and integrations using different communication patterns, including REST APIs, messaging and asynchronous processingWork with data models and persistence using Entity Framework / EF Core and relational databasesApply software design principles, architectural patterns and clean architecture to create testable, maintainable and reliable codeContribute to the architecture and technical direction of the backend platformParticipate in code reviews, technical discussions and engineering best practicesCollaborate with Product Owners and Tech Leads to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutionsTake part in technical decisions that influence the evolution and architecture of the systemContinuously improve development practices, processes, tooling and overall engineering quality What we're looking for We are looking for someone who combines strong hands-on .NET development skills with a solid engineering mindset. You should have strong experience with C#/.NET, be comfortable working on complex backend systems, and understand how to design reliable, scalable and maintainable services. Experience with REST APIs, messaging, asynchronous processing, Entity Framework / EF Core and relational databases is important. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to build software properly, not simply complete tickets. Nice to have Experience working with containerised and cloud-native environments, including Docker, Kubernetes and HelmFamiliarity with API gateways, messaging systems, gRPC, event-driven architectures and asynchronous processingExperience with performance optimisation, database tuning and query optimisationExperience working with high-availability, high-throughput or transaction-intensive systemsExperience with Angular is a bonus ✨ Our offer We believe great work happens when people feel supported and inspired.
