# Lead Software Engineer
## About the Role
Jobot is seeking a highly accomplished Lead Software Engineer to join a rapidly growing SaaS company focused on the energy industry.
This fully remote leadership role will be responsible for leading software engineering initiatives and driving the design, development, testing, and implementation of high-quality software solutions.
The successful candidate will combine strong software development expertise with technical leadership, team management, and project delivery skills.
You will work closely with business analysts and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions while helping maintain application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
## Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of software engineers through the design, development, testing, and implementation of software solutions.
* Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
* Develop and maintain web applications using C# 8.0, .NET 4.8, ASP.NET Web API 2, JavaScript, Angular, and other modern web technologies.
* Utilize Azure cloud services for application deployment and management.
* Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
* Identify and correct application bottlenecks.
* Troubleshoot and fix software bugs.
* Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
* Mentor junior software engineers and provide constructive feedback.
* Help improve team members' technical skills and capabilities.
* Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
* Lead software projects through to completion.
## Required Qualifications
* Minimum 8 years of software development experience with a focus on ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, and Angular.
* Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of web development technologies, including JavaScript, Angular, Vue, and other modern web technologies.
* Extensive experience with Azure cloud services.
* Strong understanding of software design and programming principles.
* Proven ability to manage a software development team and lead projects to completion.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
