Description
Azure Infrastructure Engineer – Azure | Terraform | Networking | Amsterdam / Rotterdam [€100K]
[Business Critical IT / Managed Services]
One team owns one client environment.
They design it, they build it, and then they run it for years.
Nobody hands it over to an operations department, because there isn’t one.
My client runs the infrastructure behind systems that large organisations cannot afford to lose.
The work is organised into dedicated teams, one team per client environment, and each team holds the full technical mandate to make its own calls.
Architecture and hands on engineering happen in the same place, by the same people.
Some environments are greenfield Azure, others are years of accumulated infrastructure being pulled into the cloud one application at a time.
You join a team of infrastructure and automation engineers who all work across design, automation and daily operations.
What you’ll do
You work on Azure at the infrastructure layer.
Compute, networking, identity, storage and security, so the foundations rather than the developer tooling that sits on top of them.
Landing zone design, subscription and network topology, connectivity back to on premises, and the automation of all of it.
Terraform or Bicep for the infrastructure, PowerShell and Python for everything around it.
You also run what you build, which means you are in the pipelines, in the monitoring and in the incidents.
Design decisions get made inside the team, with the client’s own engineers in the room.
Your profile
4+ years in infrastructure engineering, with at least 2 years hands on AzureStrong grasp of the fundamentals: compute, networking, identity and storageA background before the cloud, for example data centre, bare metal or virtualisationInfrastructure as code in production with Terraform or BicepScripting with PowerShell or Python beyond the occasional one linerWilling to carry on call for the platform you buildFluent English, Dutch is a plus
What’s in it for you
Up to €100K gross per year on target, plus a car.
A permanent contract from the start.
Hybrid, so roughly half your week from home and the rest from the office in Amsterdam or Rotterdam or at the client site.
Budget for certification and training, and the time to actually use it.
