Description

Title: Senior Web Platform Engineer (TypeScript, React, Node.js and AWS) Location: Oslo, Norway (Hybrid) Employment Contract. Job Description: • Several years of experience as a Software Engineer or Platform Engineer, building and operating production systems at scale. • Strong expertise in modern web development with TypeScript, React, and Node.js. • Deep understanding of full-stack web architecture, including server-rendered applications, APIs, authentication and authorization, performance optimization, caching, debugging, profiling, and observability. • Experience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms, together with modern DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code practices. • Experience building shared platforms, developer tooling, libraries, or self-service capabilities that enable other engineering teams. • The ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and design solutions that remain maintainable as technologies and requirements evolve. Responsibilities: • Design, build, and evolve the shared capabilities that power our company’s web platform. • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to shape platform direction and technical strategy. • Take ownership of complex technical problems from design through implementation and production. • Design scalable architectures spanning APIs, databases, caches, queues, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems. • Build self-service platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to develop and deploy independently. • Continuously improve developer experience through tooling, automation, libraries, and CI/CD. • Evaluate technical trade-offs and make pragmatic decisions that balance short-term delivery with long-term maintainability. • Collaborate across teams to build reusable platform capabilities that solve common engineering challenges. • Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
