Description

Role Description This full-time remote Cloud Engineer (Entry / Junior Level) role focuses on supporting and improving the cloud-based infrastructure that powers TA Embedded’s learning and content platforms. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with deployment and maintenance of cloud services, monitoring system performance, and helping ensure reliability, security, and scalability of infrastructure. The role involves collaborating with developers to implement and refine cloud architectures, scripting or automating routine operations, and working with Linux-based environments and databases. The Cloud Engineer will also help troubleshoot issues, document configurations and processes, and participate in continuous improvement of the cloud environment under the guidance of more senior engineers. Qualifications Candidates should possess foundational Software Development skills, including familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language and basic code versioning practices.Candidates should possess Infrastructure-related skills, such as understanding of networking fundamentals, system monitoring, and configuration management concepts.Candidates should possess Cloud Computing skills, including exposure to major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and basic knowledge of cloud services, containers, and CI/CD concepts.Candidates should possess Linux skills, including command-line proficiency, user and process management, and basic shell scripting.Candidates should possess Databases skills, such as understanding relational or NoSQL databases, writing simple queries, and managing basic data operations.Relevant additional qualifications include strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, willingness to learn, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in a remote team environment.A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial; interest in embedded systems and microcontroller-based solutions is a plus.
