The Cisco ThousandEyes FedRAMP team builds and operates our US GovCloud platform. This team is responsible for architecting, delivering, and maintaining our FedRAMP offering. Your Impact As a FedRAMP Site Reliability Engineer(SRE), you will lead the operations and architecture of our mission-critical Federal region, ensuring peak availability, performance, and security for high-volume data streams. You will implement an "everything-as-code" strategy to design and manage resilient AWS cloud-native services while maintaining rigorous compliance with FedRAMP standards through continuous auditing and automated security controls. By collaborating closely with development and security teams, you will optimize infrastructure for multi-region scale and proactively address complex operational challenges across the platform. This role is uniquely exciting because it challenges you to master the intersection of high-scale distributed systems and government-grade compliance, allowing you to build the foundations that support secure, seamless digital experiences for federal organizations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors + 7 years of related experience, or Masters + 4 years of related experience, or PhD + 1 year of related experience, or equivalent related work experienceExperience building or operating infrastructure within highly regulated environments, including the documented implementation of security controls and compliance requirements for frameworks such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or SOC2.Ability to write high-quality code in Python, Go, or equivalent languages.Experience with Unix/Linux systems, the kernel, system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols.Knowledge of cloud providers, ideally AWS and Infrastructure as Code skills, ideally with Terraform, Puppet, and Kubernetes. Preferred Qualifications Good Communication and documentation skills.Solid sense of ownership, drive, and enthusiastic attention to detail. Ability to build and implement scalable and well-tested solutions.Experience identifying and analyzing cyber security risks.Familiarity with security standard processes, vulnerability management, and incident response processes. For Quota-based Incentive Pay, Cisco Typically Pays As Follows .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; andOnce performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area $167,700.00 - $282,000.00 Non-Metro New York State & Washington State $149,100.00 - $250,900.00 For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
