The Opportunity
Borderless AI is looking for a DevSecOps & IT Operations Engineer to join our growing team.
This role is built on three critical pillars: first, you will manage our IT operations, overseeing the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to secure hardware erasure.
Second, you will own our SOC 2 compliance program using Vanta; while previous experience is great, we encourage learning this framework on the job.
Finally, you will handle platform maintenance for our core infrastructure, including AWS, Aurora Postgres, and our CI/CD pipelines to ensure a secure and high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations: Managing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, secure machine erasure, and managing system access provisioning/deprovisioning with SOC 2 documentation.Compliance: Owning our SOC 2 and ISO 27001 programs, gathering audit evidence in Vanta, and working with auditors.Platform Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance such as OS upgrades for EC2, database upgrades for Aurora Postgres, and CI/CD pipeline management.Penetration Testing: Coordinating the annual third-party penetration test.Performing critical infrastructure maintenance and development.Ensuring a robust and secure architecture by collaborating on logical designs and holding a high bar for our definition of done.Communicating security needs to non-technical staff and clients.
Great Candidates will have
A foundational background in Information Systems or IT operations.Experience with AWS infrastructure and maintaining cloud environments.Familiarity with penetration testing methodologies and vulnerability management.A strong interest in learning and managing compliance frameworks; previous SOC 2 expertise is a plus but not required.Hands-on experience with SAML identity providers like Okta and system access controls.A love of software craftsmanship.
