Description

Role Description The DevOps Engineer role at DT FIN-CON is a part-time, remote position focused on supporting the club’s digital infrastructure and tooling. The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain CI pipelines, automate deployments, and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code practices. Daily tasks include collaborating with student teams to support web applications, ensuring system reliability and performance, monitoring server health, and resolving operational issues. The role also involves improving development workflows, maintaining documentation for DevOps processes, and contributing to best practices in security and scalability. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong System Administration skills, including experience with Linux-based environments.Candidates should possess Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud or on-premise infrastructure.Candidates should possess Continuous Integration skills, including setting up and maintaining CI pipelines and build automation tools.Candidates should possess Software Development skills sufficient to write scripts, integrate tools, and collaborate effectively with development teams.Relevant skills such as experience with version control (e.g., Git), containerization (e.g., Docker), and basic networking concepts are beneficial.Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently in a remote, student-focused environment.Prior exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with security best practices in DevOps are advantageous.
