Role: Embedded Linux Software Engineer Responsibilities Reporting to the team leader, the candidate will have the following responsibilities: Develop & maintain existing MDA Beamforming Embedded Software productsTimely delivery of software to a variety of product lines integrating with customer projectsMaintain code quality standards using industry recognised toolsContribute to evolution of the design and product roadmapSupport automation tools and continuous integration methodologiesTake ownership of issues on MDA products and engage with customers as appropriateProduce documentation at all levels of lifecycle (concept, design, training material etc.) Job Requirements – Including Work Experience And Education Experience of full lifecycle embedded software developmentIdeally, about 5 to 9 years of post-graduation working experience in Embedded Linux software rolesC/C++ embedded SW engineering experience, preferably on ARM or similar processorExperience working with embedded Linux embedded (kernel and user-space development and debugging, Yocto, Buildroot, low level drivers)Communication interfaces; Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, USBLow level Device Driver experience and ability to develop integrate and testPython/Perl scripting knowledgeVersion Control experience For example GIT, SVNExcellent Interpersonal skillsIndependent, self-motivated, team player and multitasking capabilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced and changing environmentKnowledge on RF fundamentals and communications theory desirable but not essentialKnowledge of code coverage tools and unit test environments desirable, but not essential We’re a dream team of purpose-driven, collaborative and passionate people, and we are constantly looking for others to join #TeamMDA to ignite new and innovative approaches to problem-solving that push us forward to improve life on and above Earth.
