Salary for the employee will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different employee profiles. Here’s What You Bring To The Table A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, AI or a related discipline Knowledge of Python or other language Internship or full-time experience in software development, we are open to early career to senior candidates Knowledge of software engineering practices such as design patterns, knowledge of the development cycle and other tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, … The commitment to be a great, collaborative teammate Unlimited curiosity and a passion to challenge the status quo Ability to focus on vaguely defined issues requiring the application of a creative approach Strong communication, time management and work organization skills If you don’t have experience in the AI field, a strong motivation to learn this new and exciting field Some Nice-to-haves Frontend experience with React framework, Typescript, async handling & state management tool Experience with machine learning and scientific computing libraries such as scikit-learn, NumPy, SciPy, Tensorflow, etc. Knowledge of DevOps modern tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, ELK Knowledge of the development technologies such as MongoDB, Kafka Experience developing data and machine learning pipelines About Us The Intact Lab – with headquarters in Montreal, Canada – is a fast-growing, digital innovation hub backed by Intact Financial Corporation (TSX: IFC, HK$110 billion in market cap), Canada’s largest home, auto and business insurance company.
