Job Type: Independent Contractor (Part-time/Flexible/1099) Job – Founding Software Engineer (What We're Looking For): We're looking for a Founding Software Engineer to help build Pindil's platform from the ground up. This is a foundational engineering role with significant influence over the future of the company, offering the opportunity to architect core systems, shape technical strategy, establish engineering best practices, and help build the engineering organization as the company grows. You'll work directly with the founders to transform ambitious ideas into scalable products that redefine how creators monetize and engage their communities. Initial contract: 4–6 months, with the potential for full-time extension. Job - Responsibilities: - Full-Stack Software Engineering - Frontend & Backend Development (Startup Engineering / Building Products from Scratch) - Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) - Mobile application development (iOS, Android, and cross-platform technologies) - Microservices Architecture - Security Best Practices - Technical Leadership - Design, architect, and build Pindil's core scalable platform from the ground up with scalability, security, and performance as foundational principles. - Partner directly with the founders to translate product vision into technical strategy and execution. - Make critical architectural decisions that will support millions of creators, brands, and users as the platform scales globally. - Develop scalable backend services, APIs, databases, and distributed systems. - Continuously improve application performance, reliability, and developer productivity. - Establish engineering standards, development workflows, code review practices, testing strategies, and documentation. - Evaluate and introduce technologies that improve product capabilities and engineering efficiency. - Collaborate closely with product, design, marketing, and future engineering team members to rapidly iterate on new features. - Help recruit, mentor, and shape the future engineering organization as Pindil grows.
