The Role About The Role Andersen seeks a hands-on Azure Administrator Manager to lead our growing Microsoft cloud environment, combining deep technical execution with leadership responsibilities for global infrastructure design, cloud governance, and platform operations. What You'll Do Azure Infrastructure & Administration Administer Azure subscriptions, RBAC, governance policies, monitoring, and standardsDesign and maintain global infrastructure supporting distributed, multi-office environmentsManage Azure infrastructure services: Application Gateway, WAF, hybrid connectivity, and high availabilityOversee server patching and lifecycle management using Azure Update ManagerDesign secure external services with redundancy and multi-region considerationsManage cost optimization, budgeting, and governance controls; maintain documentation and runbooksParticipate in incident response and on-call support rotationCollaborate with infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity teams Security & Governance Maintain secure networking and enforce Zero Trust principles across AzureManage Azure Policy, Blueprints, and Defender for Cloud for complianceImplement identity governance via Entra ID with Conditional Access, PIM, and MFADrive Azure cost management and optimization initiativesConduct security reviews and support audit and compliance efforts Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Design, deploy, and manage AVD host pools, application groups, and workspacesManage session host images, golden image creation, versioning, and automated updatesConfigure FSLogix profile containers, OneDrive integration, and user profile managementImplement AVD scaling plans and autoscale policies for performance and cost optimizationManage AVD networking, including Azure Virtual Networks, RDP Shortpath, and Private LinkApply security controls: Conditional Access, Intune enrollment, session host hardening, and Defender for EndpointMonitor AVD health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and AVD InsightsManage application delivery: RemoteApp publishing, MSIX App Attach, and Microsoft 365 integration AI & Innovation Support Azure AI services and sandbox environments for innovation initiativesEvaluate Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, and Power Platform AI capabilitiesPartner with teams to identify AI and automation use cases Leadership & Collaboration Collaborate across infrastructure, security, application, and business teamsLead incident response and serve as technical authority on Azure infrastructureParticipate in vendor discussions, roadmap planning, and technology assessments The Requirements What We're Looking For Required Experience & Skills Bachelor's IT degree and relevant certifications5+ years infrastructure or Azure administration experience in enterprise environmentsStrong hands-on knowledge of Azure: networking, compute, storage, identity, monitoringExperience with hybrid Microsoft environments (AD, Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID)Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Azure CLI scripting and automationSolid understanding of cloud security, RBAC, and governance frameworksStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Microsoft certifications: AZ-104, or AZ-305, or AZ-140Experience with Azure Application Gateway, WAF, Front DoorAzure landing zones, enterprise-scale architectures, governance at scaleAzure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application InsightsAzure DevOps, Bicep, or Terraform for infrastructure automationMicrosoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Automate, BI, Dataverse)Azure AI/OpenAI services or Power Platform AI BuilderAzure Virtual Desktop with FSLogix, MSIX App Attach, host pool managementProfessional services or consulting experience Compensation And Benefits Competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits package. Salary range for Buffalo, NY: $109,000 - $140,000. Actual compensation determined by qualifications and experience. Benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k) plan; 200 hours PTO annually plus 12 paid holidays; and additional offerings at andersen.com/careers.
