Own product objectives and requirements for a fast-moving software product, driving development from concept through delivery.Work directly across engineering, R&D, and methodologies functions to ensure the highest-quality product execution and accurate progress tracking.Serve as a key day-to-day technical leader, with direct visibility into program strategy through the Program Manager Responsibilities Understand and translate key product objectives and requirements into actionable engineering tasks. Participate in design reviews, evaluating proposed architectures/solutions for alignment with requirements, scalability, and technical soundness.Conduct or participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, architecture decisions, and quality expectations. Triage GitLab (or equivalent) tickets at the task level — assess technical scope, identify dependencies and blockers, and flag gaps between defined tasks and actual requirements. Own and track end-to-end development progress across SW Task Leads, Engineers, Developers, and Testers.Ensure the product development process consistently produces high-quality, on-schedule deliverables.Provide day-to-day support to the development team, ensuring necessary resources, tools, and support services are available.Coordinate closely with the Program Tech Lead, R&D Manager, and Methodologies Manager to align technical direction and capability development. Define and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with government stakeholders and the SW Task Lead.Identify risks to schedule, quality, or requirements and escalate to the Program Manager with proposed mitigations.Facilitate communication and documentation between the SW Team and program managers, customers, and peers.Support sw assurance processes and practices, holding the development team accountable to defined standards.Act as a secondary point of contact for the Government Sponsor and Partner teams on technical/product matters.Coordinate with Program Lab Manager and Program Security Specialist on resource and access needs affecting development. Track and report product-level progress metrics to the Program Manager and other StakeholdersContribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tooling. Qualifications Required: U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).7+ years of hands-on software engineering or development experience, including recent (within the last 2-3 years) coding, design, or architecture work. 2+ years of experience in a Product Owner, technical program coordination, or similar cross-functional leadership role.Demonstrated experience translating product/mission requirements into engineering execution plans.Demonstrated experience conducting design and/or code reviews, and triaging technical tickets (GitLab, Jira, or equivalent) at the task level.Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices and backlog management.Experience coordinating across multiple technical teams (engineering, QA, R&D) simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing non-technical stakeholders. Desired Experience working within a U.S. Government contracting environment. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMP, or equivalent certification.Prior experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community software programs.Familiarity with software assurance, secure development practices, or DevSecOps pipelines. Pay Range There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
