Full-Stack Engineer We’re building a new transaction-driven consumer platform and are looking for a hands-on Full-Stack Engineer to join our technical team. You’ll work under our engineering leadership to build, integrate, test, and maintain the systems behind a polished consumer experience. The platform will combine our own technology with specialized third-party services, so much of the work will involve building reliable integrations and ensuring information and transactions move accurately between systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who is comfortable moving between backend services, relational databases, external APIs, and React-based frontend experiences. What you'll work on: Develop backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQLBuild responsive consumer-facing experiences using React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind, and RadixDesign and maintain relational data models, schemas, and database migrationsBuild secure REST APIs connecting the frontend, backend, and external platformsIntegrate third-party APIs, SDKs, payment providers, identity services, and webhooksImplement customer account, authentication, balance, transaction, deposit, and withdrawal functionalityBuild reliable handling for retries, timeouts, duplicate events, out-of-order events, and provider outagesUse database transactions, locking, isolation levels, and idempotency to protect data integritySupport transaction states involving successful and failed payments, refunds, adjustments, disputes, and withdrawalsDevelop internal tools supporting customer service, finance, risk, and operationsWrite automated tests for important product and transaction workflowsInvestigate production issues and work directly with external providers to resolve integration problemsContribute to deployment workflows, monitoring, documentation, and general platform reliabilityCommunicate technical work and implementation considerations clearly to both engineers and non-engineers Our current Stack: Backend TypeScriptNode.js 22ExpressPostgreSQL 16Frontend React 18TypeScriptViteTailwind CSSRadix UIReact RouterSupabaseInfrastructure and Supporting Technologies Netlify FunctionsDockerGitHub ActionsPythonFastAPIYou do not need experience with every technology listed, but you should be highly proficient in TypeScript and comfortable working across both backend services and React applications. What we're looking for Approximately 3–5 years of professional software engineering experienceProduction experience using TypeScript across backend services and React frontendsStrong SQL skills and a practical understanding of relational data modellingExperience working with database transactions, isolation levels, locking, and migrationsExperience designing, building, and maintaining REST APIsExperience integrating third-party APIs and webhooks in productionAn understanding of asynchronous integration failure modes, including retries, timeouts, duplicate events, delayed events, and out-of-order deliveryExperience designing idempotent operations and protecting data consistencyExperience writing automated tests for backend and frontend functionalityThe ability to debug issues across applications, databases, APIs, and external providersClear written communication, particularly when explaining technical work to non-engineering stakeholdersComfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities and implementation details may evolve Helpful Experience in any of the following areas would be valuable: Payments, payouts, wallets, or stored balancesBetting, gaming, or other transaction-heavy consumer productsTransaction-ledger designFinancial or operational reconciliationKYC and identity-verification integrationsChargebacks, disputes, refunds, and payment-risk workflowsPython and FastAPISupabaseServerless functionsChrome extensions
