About the role
As Technical Product Owner for SalesHub & Squad Andromeda, you will own the vision, roadmap and delivery of one of Tesco Mobile's most strategically important platforms.
You'll be responsible for balancing customer experience, commercial performance and technical sustainability across the Purchase & Fulfil journey, while ensuring SalesHub remains secure, resilient and scalable.
Working closely with engineering, architecture, UX, operations and commercial teams, you'll shape the future of SalesHub, driving platform modernisation, improving checkout experiences and enabling new propositions that support business growth.
This role is ideal for someone who can combine customer-centric thinking with strong technical product leadership and platform strategy.
You will be responsible for
Owning the SalesHub product vision, roadmap and backlog, balancing customer experience, commercial opportunities and platform health.Defining and evolving basket, checkout and fulfilment journeys to deliver seamless, reliable purchasing experiences.Acting as the strategic owner of the SalesHub platform, driving modernisation, resilience, security and operational excellence.Partnering with architects and engineers to shape future platform architecture, enabling scalable commerce capabilities and greater squad autonomy.Prioritising customer-facing features, platform investment, compliance requirements and operational improvements.Defining and tracking key product and platform KPIs, including conversion, customer experience, platform performance, reliability and operational health.Ensuring the platform remains secure and compliant through close collaboration with Engineering, DevSecOps, Risk and Cyber Security teams.Delivering new propositions, fulfilment capabilities and revenue-generating opportunities through SalesHub.Managing platform dependencies and integrations across the wider Tesco Mobile technology landscape.Facilitating collaboration across technical and business stakeholders to align on priorities, value and outcomes.Maintaining a clear, value-driven backlog with well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.Championing agile ways of working, continuous improvement and best practice within the Technical Product community.
You will need
Experience in Technical Product Management, Product Ownership or a related technical delivery role.Experience working in agile environments, with strong knowledge of Scrum methodologies and practices.Proven ability to create product vision, prioritise effectively and deliver measurable business outcomes.Experience working with modern platform technologies, including APIs, microservices, cloud-based architectures or serverless solutions.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, influencing both technical and non-technical audiences.A customer-first mindset with a passion for solving customer and business problems through technology.The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product decisions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data and insight to guide prioritisation and decision making.Understanding of modern engineering practices, including DevSecOps, CI/CD, automation, cyber security, observability and operational resilience.Highly desirableExperience with Adobe Commerce (Magento), digital commerce platforms or large-scale sales platforms.Experience within retail, telecommunications, e-commerce or subscription-based businesses.Knowledge of purchase journeys such as basket, checkout, order capture, fulfilment, promotions and product catalogue management.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.Working knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk or New Relic.Experience managing cyber security, compliance, resilience or operational risk within customer-facing platforms.Experience leading platform modernisation, architectural transformation, technical debt reduction or engineering practice improvements.
