FUNCTION OVERVIEW
The Senior Salesforce Software Engineer owns the design, development, and delivery of custom Salesforce solutions across the platform.
This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Configuration, Flows, Agentforce, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), platform APIs, and integration patterns, with a working knowledge of source control, sandbox management, and CI/CD deployment practices.
This individual partners closely with Business Analysts, Architects, and QA to build, test, and promote platform changes in a controlled and auditable manner — contributing to the engineering practices that underpin Restaurant Technologies Inc.’s Salesforce platform delivery.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Salesforce Software Engineer is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom Salesforce solutions at Restaurant Technologies.
Reporting to the Director of IT Software Engineering & ERP, this role serves as a key technical contributor on the Salesforce delivery team — building scalable solutions using Configuration, Flows, Agentforce, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform APIs while collaborating with Business Analysts, Architects, and IT leadership to deliver high-quality results within an Agile CI/CD environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Salesforce Software Engineering/Development
Hands-on delivery experience across multiple Salesforce Clouds; for example, some combination or all of the following: Agentforce, Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience and Data Clouds Translate business requirements into technical designs and deliver end-to-end solutions in an Agile delivery model.Design and build scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWC, and declarative tools (Flow, Process Builder)Fluency in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, the ability to scope and estimate technical work, and clear written and verbal communication with non-technical business stakeholdersProvide technology expertise and guidance, remaining current with emerging software, IoT, mobile, and web technologies, protocols, and industry best practicesProducing clear technical specifications, data flow diagrams, architecture decision records, and API contractsProactively identifying and remediate technical debt, monitoring governor limit headroom, managing org complexity, and proposing architecture improvementsEnforce code quality through peer code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to Salesforce best practicesAutomate testing via UI regression test suits using Gearset, Copado, or similar tooling including static code analysis tools (Salesforce Code Analyzer, Gearset Code Reviews etc.) to maintain code quality gatesSupport deployments and release activities using source control, CI/CD pipeline development, and DevOps best practicesTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues across applications, integration, and communication layersCollaborate cross-functionally with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutionsIdentify and communicate risks associated with solutions and processes, including integrated systems, mobile applications, and connectivity dependenciesEvaluate and recommend frameworks, tools, and technologies to improve development efficiency and application qualityMentoring less senior developers and translating stakeholder requirements into user stories.Other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field, or equivalent professional work experience10+ years of Salesforce Software Development/Engineering experience required with proven record of delivering high quality, performant solutions that drive business efficiency and valueExpert-level proficiency in Apex (triggers, batch, queueable, future), Lightning Web Components, and FlowsAbility to design and implement bi-directional integrations via REST, SOAP, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and work collaboratively with Integration Teams (MuleSoft, Workato, OIC, etc.)Deep understanding of Salesforce's object model, complex SOQL/SOSL, governor limits, sharing and visibility rules, OWD, roles, profiles, and permission sets while enforcing secure coding patterns and field-level security in every solutionMastery of Flow, Process Builder migration to Flow, and OmniStudio.
