Profile: Automation Engineer (VMware, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Linux Red Hat, Programming languages) - Level Standard.
Place of performance: On-site service provision at Frontex Headquarters in Warsaw (Poland) – 70% intramuros + 30% extramuros (remote).
Duration of the mission: 48 months.
Security Clearance: Is required (required from day 45 of assignment) - RESTREINT UE/EU RESTRICTED.
Travel: Not foreseen.
Minimum level of education: Level 6.
Minimum English language skills: B2.
Minimum IT relevant experience: 5 years (2 years in similar positions).

Typical Tasks And Responsibilities
Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and tools to support various IT operations, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, deployment, and incident response (products including VMware, Azure/AWS/Google Cloud, Windows Server and Linux Red Hat).
Analysing existing IT processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement, proposing and developing automation strategies to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance scalability.
Writing scripts and developing code using programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate routine tasks, data processing, and system integration.
Utilizing configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) and infrastructure-As-code (IaC) frameworks (e.g., Terraform, VMware ARIA Automation) to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of IT infrastructure components.
Recommending and implementing IT best practices.
Implementing changes according to ICT change management procedures.
Providing 2nd line support to other IT teams and coordinating with 3rd line of support.
Updating the technical documentation and operating procedures.
