Description

Responsibilities This position reports to the North American Public Safety Regional Development and Integration Team. This group develops, customizes, and implements software interfaces and integrations on a product and project basis. The position requires communicating with a project team, functional team, customers, service managers, project managers and third-party vendors. Participating in project requirement gathering sessions.Preparing and maintaining software design documentation.Developing product to customer requirements.Support testing with customers and third-party vendors.Providing second tier support for custom software deliverables.Performing project delivery tasks within stated budget and schedule.Staying abreast of Public Safety industry standards and specifications related to product development. Education / Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or related field or commensurate, documented experience in a role with similar responsibilities7+ years’ experience in software developmentExcellent communication and critical thinking skillsGood organizational skills and detail-oriented mindsetExperience in public safety workflowsExperience in developing Public Safety applications is a plus.Working Knowledge of: C#, C++, XML/XSL, JSON, SQL, HTTP/REST, REACT, WCF, GIT, Microsoft Azure DevOpsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services is a plus About Octave Octave provides mission-critical software that empowers organizations to make informed decisions across every stage of the asset lifecycle - Design, Build, Operate and Protect - where performance, safety, and reliability are non-negotiable and failure is not an option.
