Job Description Position Title: Senior Cloud Engineer Your role The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing enterprise cloud infrastructure and platform services across multi-cloud environments. This role partners closely with infrastructure, network, security, development, and operations teams to deliver scalable, highly available, and resilient cloud solutions that support critical business applications and services. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cloud technologies, automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud security best practices. They will lead cloud architecture initiatives, drive operational excellence, and serve as a technical subject matter expert for cloud adoption, modernization, and optimization efforts. What You’ll Do Cloud Engineering Design, implement, and maintain multi‑cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCPDevelop cloud landing zones aligned with security, governance, and compliance standardsSupport hybrid and multi‑region deployments for enterprise workloadsEvaluate and recommend cloud-native services and architectural patterns Automation & Infrastructure as Code Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as:Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormationAutomate cloud provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle managementStandardize repeatable deployment patterns and templates Security, Governance & Compliance Implement cloud security best practices (IAM, network security, encryption, logging)Enforce governance using:Azure Policy, AWS Organizations / SCPs, GCP Org Policies, OCI policiesPartner with security teams on audits, controls, and regulatory complianceSupport vulnerability remediation and security posture management Operations & Reliability Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environmentsDesign for high availability, disaster recovery, and resiliencySupport incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvementOptimize performance and cloud costs (FinOps practices) Collaboration & Leadership Act as a technical lead for complex cloud initiativesMentor junior engineers and review designs and codeCollaborate with application, networking, IAM, and security teamsProvide clear technical guidance to both engineers and stakeholders What You’ll Need Core Requirements 7+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure (required)Working knowledge of OCI and GCP in production environmentsStrong understanding of:Networking (VPC/VNet design, routing, DNS, firewalls)Identity & Access Management (IAM, RBAC, federated identity)Experience with Linux and/or Windows server workloads Automation & Tooling Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python preferred)Experience with CI/CD pipelines for cloud deploymentsFamiliarity with monitoring and logging tools (native or third‑party) Enterprise Experience Experience operating cloud platforms at scaleUnderstanding of compliance, governance, and security controlsAbility to work in regulated or audit‑driven environments Preferred Qualifications Cloud certifications (one or more):AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) Microsoft Azure Solutions ArchitectGoogle Cloud Professional certificationsOCI Architect certificationsExperience with:Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE, OKE)Hybrid connectivity, ExpressRoute / Direct Connect / VPNDefender, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)Prior experience in global or multi‑region environments A Bit About Us Digital Realty brings companies and data together by delivering the full spectrum of data center, colocation and interconnection solutions. Our Compensation Philosophy Digital Realty offers its employees a highly competitive compensation package, excellent benefits, and an environment that recognizes and rewards your contributions. Our published pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and geographical location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. Moreover, an employee’s total compensation package varies by role and may include salary, cash bonus or commissions, and equity awards not quantified below. Compensation range $120,000 – $140,000. This compensation range represents the Company’s good faith belief as to what it will pay as a base salary for this position at the time of this posting.
