IT Solutions Architect & Developer Western New York | Full-Time | Retained Search Our client is a fourth-generation, family-owned, certified women's business enterprise, operating multiple companies across beverage services, dry ice, industrial gases, and energy. They are hiring an IT Solutions Architect & Developer to serve as the senior technical resource for the entire organization. This role reports directly to the CEO and carries architectural authority across every operating company. It is a builder's role for someone who wants ownership, not a seat on a large IT team. About the Role You will design, develop, and enhance internal software applications and technical systems across all operating companies, which run on a shared, industry-specific ERP platform. You will provide architectural leadership across applications, data integrations, API connectivity, business intelligence reporting, and mobile device management. You will operate as the sole technical resource, managing your own priorities and directing your own work, with a direct line to the CEO on technology strategy. What You'll Do Administer and support the industry-specific ERP system across multiple operating companies, including user setup, permissions, and access managementDesign, develop, test, and maintain internal software applications that improve operational efficiencyBuild, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to support decision-making across the organizationAdminister the CRM platform, including module customization, dashboards, lead and deal management workflows, and reportingDevelop and maintain API integrations connecting business systems, including CRM, electronic signature, and ERP platforms, along with other third-party applicationsManage the customer-facing e-commerce portal connected to the ERP systemMaintain internal and legacy reporting tools and support end users with report creationAdminister Mobile Device Management for company devices, including configuration, application control, and device securityWork closely with leadership and all departments to understand business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutionsCollaborate across departments to automate workflows and eliminate manual processes, including through the use of AI toolsManage vendor support relationships, including ticket submission, escalation, and resolution tracking with the ERP providerDocument technical specifications, architectural diagrams, system updates, and internal proceduresProvide architectural oversight for new technology initiatives and advise leadership on best practices and long-term technology planning Who You Are Self-directed and comfortable operating as the sole technical resource within an organizationStrong work ethic, professionalism, high moral standards, and sound judgmentStrong business acumen with a working understanding of revenue, cost, and marginResourceful in solving problemsAble to structure, simplify, predict, and systemizeA quick learner who can master unfamiliar systems and platformsAn excellent communicator, verbal, written, and in presentation, who can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesHighly organized with strong planning skillsMotivated to learn and grow with the company Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent required3-6 years of experience in software development, architecture, or enterprise technology rolesDemonstrated experience building Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models; candidates with deep Microsoft SQL Server expertise and strong business acumen will also be consideredHands-on development experience in Python, React/Node.js, PHP, or a comparable language, including version control with Git/GitHubExperience working with APIs, including integration of third-party applicationsExperience with server-side databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQLExperience with a major CRM platform (Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and with Mobile Device Management systemsExperience with AI development and automation is a strong plus All applications are held in strict confidence.
