Job Title: DevOps Engineer (C#) Location: London Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Banking / Financial Services About the Role We are seeking a mid-level DevOps Engineer with a background in software engineering to join our core infrastructure team at a leading Tier 1 Investment Bank. In this role, you will bridge the gap between application development and system operations. You will manage and modernize on-premises infrastructure while maintaining strict performance, high availability, and security standards required in enterprise banking. Key Responsibilities Maintain, automate, and scale on-premises data center infrastructure and deployment pipelines.Collaborate directly with application development teams to unblock deployments and optimize release workflows.Write clean, maintainable automation scripts and tools leveraging your software development background.Enforce security controls, governance, and compliance protocols across all operational processes.Assist adjacent engineering teams with troubleshooting, system diagnostics, and pipeline optimization. What We Are Looking For Experience: 5 to 10 years of total technology experience in engineering, DevOps, or systems roles.Development Background: Prior hands-on experience as a C# / .NET developer.Infrastructure Skills: Direct experience managing on-premises systems (Windows Server/Linux, bare-metal, virtualization, internal data centers).Domain Knowledge: Experience in banking, asset management, capital markets, or adjacent regulated financial sectors.Mindset: Service-oriented, collaborative, and eager to assist development teams across the organization.
