Role: Senior Software Developer - Builder Greenfield(Technical Lead) Location: Hybrid (2–3 days/week) | Seattle, WA; Denver About the Role Boeing Digital Services is hiring a Senior Software Developer-Builder to serve as a hands-on technical lead for a small development team. In this role, you will lead end-to-end delivery of modern, cloud-native applications and integrate AI/ML capabilities into digital aircraft maintenance products. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Execution: Serve as a hands-on lead for a small dev team—guiding execution, sprint planning, architectural decisions, and code quality while balancing individual coding contributions.System Modernization: Design and deliver full-stack, production-grade microservices and event-driven architectures across both greenfield builds and brownfield modernizations (Strangler Fig, lift-and-refactor).Applied AI Integration: Integrate AI, ML, and LLM capabilities into production software (RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, intelligent automation) and leverage AI developer tools (Cursor, Claude, Windsurf).Full-Stack & API Engineering: Build scalable frontend interfaces, backend services, and robust REST/GraphQL APIs within complex, multi-cloud enterprise environments.Quality & CI/CD Ownership: Embed quality practices end-to-end through automated testing (unit, integration, system) and continuous deployment (CI/CD) infrastructure.Mentorship: Elevate team performance through code reviews, pairing, real-time feedback, and technical coaching. Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional application development experience across the full SDLC.5+ years of experience in full-stack web development.5+ years working in modern software product development and delivery.5+ years in an Agile team environment using continuous integration/DevOps tools.2+ years of experience leading or guiding a small technical team (coordinating work, reviewing code, driving execution). Preferred Qualifications 7+ years of total software engineering experience.Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related technical field (Master's in CS, AI/ML, or Data Science preferred).AI/ML Experience: Hands-on experience building/deploying AI, ML, or LLM features into production applications (APIs, prompt orchestration, RAG).Cloud-Native Tech: Containerization, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern observability platforms.Enterprise Modernization: Demonstrated success modernizing legacy brownfield systems in distributed enterprise environments.Industry Domain: Experience in aerospace, industrial, manufacturing, transportation, or highly regulated environments.
