Department Overview
Our Pronto Deployment team provides mission critical software to UK emergency service agencies, with our primary focus being the Pronto Digital Policing app.
Pronto is the most popular mobile policing application in the UK, trusted by over half of the UK’s 45 police forces - and used by around 75,000 police officers on a daily basis.
Pronto has been designed with and for front line operational users.
As a result, it is an intuitive solution, with positive adoption, excellent user compliance and consistently positive feedback.
Based in the West End of Glasgow, we currently have around 100 employees.
Our team started as Kelvin Connect in 2002, a spin-out company from the University of Glasgow.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and proactive Test Engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out testing to ensure product stability with every release.
Typical Activities Include
Testing of software solutions / applications to ensure that the developed products meet the requirements and are free of defectsWriting, maintaining and executing Test casesReading and understanding requirements documentation provided by a Technical Project Manager, Customer, or another member of the Motorola Solutions teamBeing involved in the process of clarifying and refining requirementsProviding estimated timescales for the testing of requirementsProducing and maintaining appropriate documentation for tracking quality metricsCompleting work to a high standardCompleting work in a timely mannerAttend Customer premises periodically to witness on-site software use
This role offers flexible, hybrid working with an expectancy to attend the Glasgow office several times per month, where applicable.

Academic & Technical Requirements
3 years UK residency is required for security checkA formal qualification (Degree) in Computing Science or equivalent experienceExcellent communication skills both written and verbal3+ years experience of commercial software testing

Knowledge of Agile methodologiesISTQB certificationKnowledge of automation or an interest in learning thisExperience of Java or another OO languageKnowledge of source code management technologies (e.g.
