Description
Our client is a leading global trading organisation with a significant presence across Asia, and we are exclusively supporting them in the search for a high-calibre Senior SRE / Cloud Engineer to join their Hong Kong technology team.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud engineering, site reliability and high-performance trading technology, supporting highly critical platforms where reliability, resilience and speed are fundamental.
You will work closely with software engineers, infrastructure teams, quant developers and trading technology specialists to build and operate robust cloud platforms across AWS and Azure.
The Role
As an SRE / Cloud Engineer, you will take ownership of the reliability, scalability and operational performance of critical trading and technology platforms.
You will be involved in:
Designing, building and operating highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and AzureDeveloping and maintaining Infrastructure as Code, ideally using TerraformBuilding and improving CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processesDriving observability across infrastructure and applications, including metrics, logging and distributed tracingImproving platform reliability, resilience, capacity and disaster recoveryAutomating operational processes and eliminating repetitive manual tasksSupporting production systems in a highly demanding, time-sensitive trading environmentParticipating in incident response, root-cause analysis and continuous improvementWorking with engineering teams to embed SRE principles throughout the development lifecycleHelping establish and maintain strong standards around security, resilience and cloud governanceContributing to the evolution of the firm's cloud strategy and engineering practices
What We're Looking For
We are interested in speaking with engineers who have a strong background in SRE, DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Platform Engineering, ideally within financial services, trading or another high-availability technology environment.
You should have strong experience with:
AWS and/or Azure cloud platformsLinux and networking fundamentalsTerraform or another Infrastructure-as-Code technologyKubernetes / containerised environmentsCI/CD and modern software delivery practicesPython, Go, Bash or another scripting/programming languageMonitoring and observability platformsProduction incident management and troubleshootingAutomation and configuration managementHigh-availability and resilient distributed systemsExperience within electronic trading, investment banking, hedge funds, exchanges or other low-latency environments would be highly advantageous.
