Responsibilities
Take full end-to-end ownership of key features in authentication, authorisation, and identity managementDesign and build high-throughput, distributed backend services using NestJS, TypeScript, Kafka, and RedisWork hands-on with AI tools daily to accelerate development, improve code quality, and explore new capabilitiesContribute to architectural decisions and help shape the technical direction of the platformParticipate in code reviews and give constructive, thoughtful feedback to your teammatesSupport and mentor junior colleagues when the opportunity arises, and share your knowledge openlyCollaborate closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams on a daily basisShow up to stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives with ideas, not just status updates
Requirements
6+ years of professional backend engineering experienceStrong, production-grade TypeScript and Node.js skills - must haveProven experience in high-scale, high-throughput production environments (millions of requests per day) - must haveAbility to independently lead feature development from design through to deployment - must haveActive daily use of AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar - must haveExperience designing and implementing distributed, event-driven architecturesHands-on experience with NestJS, Kafka, Redis, and MySQL in productionComfortable navigating and improving an existing, mature codebase - not just greenfield projectsGood understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release practicesClear, collaborative communication style - someone the team genuinely enjoys working with

Familiarity with authentication and identity standards: OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, WebAuthn, or SSOExperience with AWS and cloud-native architecturesBackground in security-sensitive engineering, or prior experience as a security championExperience with designing and integrating large-scale messaging queue servicesMentoring or informal technical leadership experience - the team includes junior engineersInterest in or background with developer tooling, SaaS platforms, or identity infrastructure

The salary starts from 3400 Euro gross.
The final salary depends on the previous experience and professional knowledge of the candidate.
