Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a VP- AI Ops Engineer to join their team. As a VP- AI Ops Engineer, you will be part of the Platform Engineering department supporting AI and GenAI platform operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, adaptability, and collaborative skills which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: VP- AI Ops Engineer Location:Charlotte, North Carolina Pay Range:$155,000 - $165,000 What's the Job? Design, operationalize, and oversee the MLOps/LLMOps backbone for AI platforms on Databricks and Azure Cloud Services. Develop and implement automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for models, prompts, and agents, ensuring reliable deployment strategies. Establish governance, version control, and auditability across data, models, prompts, and responses, ensuring compliance and traceability. Create observability frameworks for data quality, model drift, application performance, and cost governance aligned with FinOps principles. Lead testing, validation, and responsible AI controls to ensure safety, fairness, and security of AI systems in production environments. What's Needed? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience deploying, operating, and maintaining advanced ML or GenAI models in production, with a focus on MLOps/LLMOps. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python and GenAI frameworks/tools such as Databricks Vector Search, Azure AI Search, LangGraph, haystack, or Llama Index. Deep expertise with MLOps/LLMOps tooling including MLflow, data platforms like Databricks, and cloud platforms such as Azure. Proven ability to develop RESTful services, containerization, and automated CI/CD systems, with strong monitoring and alerting skills for AI systems. What's in it for me?
