Overview
Thazen LLC is seeking experienced Cloud Engineers to design, deploy, and operate secure, compliant IL5/IL6 environments across AWS GovCloud (US)/AWS Secret and Azure Government/Azure Secret.
You’ll build resilient, automated cloud platforms for DoD and U.S.
Government missions within RMF/ATO processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provision and maintain IL5/IL6 workloads in AWS GovCloud/AWS Secret and Azure Gov/Azure
Secret.
• Architect secure, scalable, highly available solutions aligned to DoD CC SRG, NIST 800-53, and
FedRAMP High.
• Implement infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation/CDK, Bicep/ARM) and automation.
• Integrate DevSecOps pipelines, logging/monitoring/alerting, and policy-as-code.
• Configure networking: VPC/VNet, private endpoints/PrivateLink, firewalls, load balancers.
• Operate container platforms (EKS/ECS and AKS), image scanning, cluster hardening.
• Optimize performance/reliability/cost; support incident response and ATO documentation.
Qualifications:
Required
• 6+ years with AWS and/or Azure (preferably GovCloud/Secret regions).
• Professional experience with Palantir (e.g., Vantage or Maven).
• Delivery in IL5/IL6 environments compliant with DoD CC SRG, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP.
• Proficiency with Terraform and one native IaC framework (CloudFormation/CDK or Bicep/ARM).
• Containers/orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS and/or AKS).
• Strong CI/CD and DevSecOps practices (supply-chain security, artifact signing, policy-as-code).
• Identity/secrets: AWS IAM/KMS/Secrets Manager and/or Azure Entra ID, RBAC, Managed
Identities, Key Vault.
Preferred:
• Certs: AWS SA-Pro, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security
Engineer, CISSP, Security+, CKA.
• Experience with DoD/IC/Federal high-security cloud programs.
• Familiar with monitoring/security (e.g., CloudWatch/CloudTrail/Config/GuardDuty, Azure
Monitor/Log Analytics/Sentinel, Prometheus/Grafana).
