Description

Title: Android Developer Location: Alpharetta, GA (3 days Hybrid) Duration: 12+ months (Potential to convert) Pay rate: $80 - $85/hr on W2 MUST • 7+ years of Android Developer • Concept of Object Oriented Design and Development Skills • Unit & UI Testing Exp • Working AI Knowledge (Copilot, Claude, Codex - Be familiar with one of the tools) • Ability to work independently without guidance • Good working experience with Kotlin and Kotlin Coroutines (very important) • Working Experience w/ Jetpack Compose & Coroutines (very important) • Android MVVM Exp • Collaboration Experience - good team player • Working in two different squads • This person should be able toc communicate effectively • Consumer Facing Application Exp --- needs to be used by external users • UI/UX perspective is important (User friendly) • GitHub Experience • Communication PLUS: • Enterprise Level organization • Room - Local Database (BIG PLUS) • Experience with enterprise level branching/merging with Jenkins D2D: • Existing Application (flagship eTrade android application) • Enhancing and new feature planning + bug fixes • Construct, enhance and troubleshoot native Android apps in an Agile, collaborative environment • Implement complex new features and functionality • Work closely with developers, designers and our business partners to create functional solutions Job Description: Android Engineer Responsibilities • Construct, enhance, and troubleshoot native Android applications in an Agile, collaborative environment. • Implement complex new features and functionality across the application stack. • Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and business partners to create robust and functional solutions. • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. • Diagnose and resolve issues relating to performance, reliability, and scalability. • Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and testing. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. • 5-7 years of experience building and maintaining large-scale Android applications. • Deep knowledge of Kotlin and Kotlin Coroutines. • Hands-on experience with Android Architecture Components, MVVM, and Jetpack Compose. • Strong hands-on experience leveraging AI tooling across the software development lifecycle (SDLC). • Exceptional Object-Oriented (OO) design and development skills. • Strong experience with asynchronous programming and concurrency on Android. • Proven experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks. • Demonstrated track record of high productivity in application architecture, design, coding, and debugging. • Experience with enterprise-level branching/merging workflows using Jenkins. • Strong understanding of mobile performance, latency, and security issues, with hands-on experience using performance analysis tools. • Solid grasp of current technological trends, best practices in information security, wireless network architecture, mobile technologies, and related concepts. Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with Room, Dagger, and other libraries commonly used in our tech stack (huge plus). • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes. • Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small development teams. • Open source contributions or active engagement in the Android developer community.
