Key Responsibilities:
Platform Design & Development
• Develop and optimize kdb+ processes and queries to meet low-latency and high-throughput requirements for AI Markets use cases.
• Build analytic and aggregation layers that can be consumed by downstream systems, APIs, and AI/ML models.
Data Engineering & Integration:
• Expose kdb+ data and analytics via APIs/services to front-ends, AI engines, and reporting tools.
• Work with AI/data engineering teams to provide well-structured datasets for training and running models in AI Markets.
Performance & Reliability
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and capacity management for kdb+ environments.
PUBLIC
• Ensure resilience, failover, and disaster recovery strategies are in place for critical market-facing services.
Collaboration & Governance
• Partner with traders, sales, quants, and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions in kdb+.
• Adhere to internal policies on operational risk, model risk, and data governance, including auditability and access control.

• Contribute to code reviews, development standards, and best practices for kdb+ and related technologies.
Key Skills and Qualifications for this role
Core Skills & Experience
Technical:
• Strong hands-on experience with large volume datasets in a production environment.
• Proven experience optimizing data queries and processes for low-latency, high-volume data.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux, scripting (e.g.
Bash, Python), and version control (Git).
Domain
• Experience in at least one of: FX, Rates, Credit, Equities, or Commodities trading environments.
• Understanding of electronic trading, pricing, and risk concepts.
Software Engineering Practices:
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment of services.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production environments.
• Clear understanding of secure coding, data protection, and operational risk principles.
Desirable / Nice-to-Have
• Prior experience with kdb+.
• Experience supporting AI/ML or analytics platforms.
• Experience with time-series analytics, anomaly detection, or signal generation for trading or client analytics.
• Previous experience in a global investment bank or electronic trading firm.
