We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to join our cross-functional team.
You will design and build the services, APIs, and data models behind our products.
Our work spans consumer-facing platforms and internal systems, and you can expect to move between projects as priorities shift rather than owning a single service indefinitely.

Your Initial Focus: Your first major project will be building the backend for a complex consumer-facing booking platform that aggregates inventory from numerous third-party suppliers.
Behind a seamless customer checkout experience lies a challenging engineering problem: dealing with fragmented supplier APIs (from clean REST to legacy SOAP), varying definitions of a "booking," and complex rules for pricing and cancellation.
You will build the normalization layer that makes these disparate systems look identical to everything downstream.
Key Responsibilities
Software Design & Development: Design, write, and maintain high-quality, efficient, and scalable backend code, primarily utilizing TypeScript and NestJS.Standards & Best Practices: Strictly adhere to industry best practices, modern architectural patterns (e.g., SOLID principles), and internal coding guidelines to ensure long-term system maintainability and extensibility.Code Review & Quality Assurance: Actively participate in the code review process, both submitting code for review and providing rigorous, constructive feedback on peers' code to uphold technical standards.Technical Strategy & Collaboration: Participate in architectural discussions, system design sessions, and technical planning.
Proactively identify areas for system improvement and technical debt reduction.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with frontend engineers, QA, DevOps, design, and product management to define API contracts, clarify requirements, and deliver robust end-to-end features.System Integration: Architect and implement resilient integrations with third-party APIs and external systems, handling legacy protocols, asynchronous operations, and unpredictable external states gracefully.Testing & Reliability: Write and maintain reliable automated tests.

What We Are Looking For
Experience: 4+ years building production backend services, with meaningful time in TypeScript / Node.js.
NestJS experience is strongly preferred (or deep experience in another opinionated, DI-based framework like Spring or ASP.NET Core).Engineering Excellence: A deep commitment to maintainability, REST conventions, proper versioning, and a strong sense of where automated tests earn their keep.Integration Resilience: Proven experience dealing with unpredictable third-party APIs.
