Description
We’re supporting a growing digital transformation consultancy looking for an experienced Data Engineer to play a key role in supporting the digital transformation journeys of its clients.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data to solve complex problems, support better decision-making and help develop strong technical teams.
The organisation has ambitious plans for its Data capability, making this a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing people, sharing knowledge and contributing to the growth of a Data Engineering community.
Experience within healthcare, or a strong interest in working across healthcare data projects, would be an advantage.
What you’ll be doing
Designing and implementing complex data pipelines using both NoSQL and relational databases.Developing and managing cloud-based data solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability and security.Leading and mentoring junior Data Engineers, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional development.Implementing and overseeing CI/CD pipelines to support the efficient deployment of data services.Using Python, SQL and other relevant backend programming languages effectively.Developing data processing and manipulation solutions to support client requirements.Supporting the development of the wider Data Engineering capability and contributing to training and development initiatives.
It would be great if you also have experience with
Supporting the organisation and delivery of a Data Engineer Academy or similar training programme.Advanced scripting and automation of data processes and ETL workflows.Business Intelligence tools and techniques to deliver actionable insights.Software design patterns, principles and architecture patterns.Healthcare data standards such as SNOMED, FHIR and HL7.Working within a consultancy environment and a genuine passion for understanding and solving client problems.
