We currently have a role as a C# and NET Developer - Investment Banking with our large consulting client, workig onsite at a major financial services client in the downtown Montreal area. Role: Senior Storage Administrator - L3 Support Type: Permanent 37.5 hrs/week Location: Hybrid - Downtown Montreal, QC -(roles starts off 5 days in office for 1st 3 months, then turns into hybrid setup 3 days onsite, 2 days from home) Salary: $80,000 + 9% bonus + 3-5 weeks paid vacation + 6% RRSP contribution + benefits + sick/personal days + many other perks Role Overview RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, test, and deploy key features for trading and operations applications used globally, with a primary focus on New York. Develop and support software related to: Trade booking Position management Settlement Straight Through Processing (STP) of electronic trades Work within the Post Trade FIC (Fixed Income & Currencies) team and interact with multiple upstream and downstream systems. Develop strategic trading tools for trade capture and regulatory reporting within the FIC perimeter, with a focus on back-end development. Participate in requirements gathering and solution design with business analysts and stakeholders. Build applications supporting various Front Office business lines. Ensure seamless integration of data and workflows with trading, settlement, and related platforms. Define architecture and technical frameworks for new developments. Lead end-to-end initiatives by translating business requirements into technical solutions and overseeing implementation. Review and design architecture for new and existing systems. Estimate effort and deliver projects using Agile and continuous delivery methodologies. Perform thorough testing and ensure adherence to release and change management processes. Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support, assist with release rollouts, and provide reporting to clients and management. Assess risks, develop contingency plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Apply development best practices to improve quality and maintainability. Actively contribute as a proactive member of a global team while managing multiple workstreams. REQUIREMENTS Mandatory Technical Skills 3-5+ years of .NET / C# development experience. 2+ years of multithreading experience. Strong object-oriented programming (OOP) skills. Experience developing and deploying RESTful services. Strong algorithmic and problem-solving abilities. Ability to translate business requirements into sustainable, maintainable, and reusable code. Understanding of Agile development methodologies. Experience with: C# .NET MongoDB MQ Series Oracle Git Jenkins NuGet Moq Professional Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with financial products and/or within the financial industry. Strong analytical skills. Detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of learning quickly. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Nice to Have Technical Skills Knowledge of messaging technologies such as NATS.io and RabbitMQ. Knowledge of network protocols and socket programming.
