Summary:The CRM Audience & Systems - Junior Developer sits within the Audience and Systems function of the CRM team at schuh.
The role focuses primarily on Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), with a broader responsibility for understanding how CRM and connected systems integrate.
This role supports the CRM Systems and Audience Manager across integrations, automations, and audience selection and development.
As the SFMC first point of contact, the role also supports training, troubleshooting, platform maintenance, and innovation.
Responsibilities include managing data flows, enabling campaigns through accurate and organised data, and supporting third-party integrations (e.g.
Vibes, Skyvia) and connectors across Salesforce tools.
The role aims to improve performance, customer experience, and key KPIs such as revenue, profitability, frequency, AOC, AOV, ARPU, and CLTV, while supporting wider CRM and digital teams in their use of SFMC.
This is primarily an operational role with a need for strategic thinking.
It is a key position supporting CRM, Loyalty, Trade emails, and new revenue streams.
Reports to: CRM Systems and Audience Manager
Team: CRM & Loyalty (Digital)
Works closely with: CRM & Loyalty Campaign team, Trade Email team, CRM Analytics, Digital Marketing, and Ecommerce teams
Product Experience and Skills:
Salesforce experience, particularly SFMC; exposure to Loyalty Management and Service Cloud is advantageousAble to take ownership of audiences and understand how to maximise reach and customer experience through audience inclusion/exclusion tacticsProficient in Excel/Sheets, Google Drive, and Microsoft OfficeSQL and database querying a must haveHTML and AMPscriptA/B (MTV) testingAudience segmentation and automationData feeds and process monitoringTesting and QAStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStakeholder and third-party project managementConfident presenterHighly organised, detail-oriented, and numerateAble to prioritise, multitask, and meet deadlinesCollaborative, proactive, and commercially awareKnowledge of fashion/footwear industry (desirable)Computer science/ IT related degree highly desirable
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Support delivery of CRM systems, audience, and integration strategyExecute hands-on CRM operations with accuracy and efficiencySalesforce Marketing Cloud Operations:
Build, manage, and optimise segments and audiences for BAU and campaignsConfigure campaign entry criteria and automationsManage data feeds and Advertising Studio audiencesTest campaign logic prior to releaseMonitor SFMC storage and platform performanceSet up dynamic campaigns using AMPscriptCreate CloudPages for data capture and projectsManage mobile wallet notificationsSupport & Optimisation:
Act as first-line SFMC support for usersTroubleshoot issues and implement solutionsDeliver training and promote best practicesPropose process improvements to increase efficiencyEnsure GDPR compliance across all activityCampaign & Performance:
Support CRM/email campaigns (e.g.
Back in Stock, Wishlist, Abandonment)Collaborate with Email Trade team on audience strategyMonitor campaign execution and performance, especially during peak periodsTrack engagement and produce weekly/ad hoc reportingAnalyse trends and provide actionable insightsEnsure campaigns deploy and track as expectedDevelopment & Innovation:
Deliver SFMC and third-party integrations, development, and innovationsSupport Proof of Concept Trials, performance reviews, and roadmap planningStay updated on marketing technology trends (AI)Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with CRM and wider digital teams to ensure alignmentManage agency relationships and act as liaison with third partiesCommunicate plans, progress, and insights to stakeholdersGeneral Responsibilities:
