imID is looking for a highly skilled Mid-to-Senior DevOps Engineer who enjoys building and operating reliable infrastructure rather than simply maintaining it. Most of our environment runs on premises, so we're looking for someone comfortable with physical infrastructure, Kubernetes, automation, and solving production problems. You will be responsible for building reliable, secure, and automated infrastructure, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, managing container platforms, and improving system scalability, availability, and operational efficiency. This role will report directly to the Head of Technology and Operations. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain highly available on-premises infrastructure. Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters. Design and operate container-based infrastructure for production workloads. Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for application delivery and infrastructure automation. Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks using scripting languages. Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions. Ensure infrastructure security by implementing best practices for access control, secrets management, vulnerability management, and compliance. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues. Collaborate closely with software engineers, platform engineers, security teams, and system administrators. Evaluate and introduce new DevOps tools, technologies, and automation practices. Required Qualifications 4+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering. Strong experience with container technologies and Kubernetes ecosystems. Hands-on experience managing production Kubernetes clusters. Expert-level knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipeline automation. Strong proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles. Experience deploying and managing Talos Linux. Strong Linux administration skills. Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go. Solid understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, ingress, firewalls, and VPNs. Experience managing production on-premises infrastructure. Strong understanding of infrastructure security, identity management, secrets management, and system hardening. Experience implementing infrastructure automation and configuration management. Familiarity with Git-based development workflows. Database Experience: practical experience deploying, managing, tuning, and troubleshooting both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL or MariaDB) and NoSQL (Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch) databases. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud-native technologies and CNCF ecosystem projects. Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux. Experience with Helm and Kubernetes Operators. Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, etc.). Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, VictoriaMetrics, or OpenTelemetry. Experience with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ.
