Mid-level Backend Engineer

We serve Tier 1 banks across Europe, North America, and Asia. We are are looking for a Mid-level Backend Engineer to help design, build, and scale our regulatory reporting platform. You'll own features end-to-end — collaborating directly with product to shape requirements, and with the engineers around you to deliver them. Requirements Responsibilities: Design, build, and ship features independently, from technical design through deploymentMaintain and lead the improvement of existing features within the applicationWrite efficient, well-tested codeReview code and provide constructive feedback to peers and junior engineersMentor junior engineers on Python best practices and software designCollaborate with QA, product, and senior engineers to ship reliable, accurate features Must-have 3-5 years of professional experience building production software in PythonExperience with FastAPI (or a similar web framework)Strong SQL skills and hands-on production experience with SQLalchemy/PostgreSQLProfessional experience with DockerSolid understanding of RESTful API designSolid grasp of Git and standard version-control workflows in a team environmentSolid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles Nice-to-have Hands-on experience with ClickHouse or another columnar/OLAP databaseExperience with Go or Rust, or strong aptitude to pick it up quicklyProfessional experience processing large volumes of data (complex data pipelines).
