As a Data Engineer, you turn data into insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. You build dashboards, automate reporting, connect and optimize data sources and develop solutions that help our teams work smarter and more efficiently. You will have the freedom to identify improvement opportunities, take ownership from analysis through implementation and work with a broad technology stack including Power BI, SQL, Python and Power Automate. As a Data Engineer, you are part of the Engineering & Reporting team at Campus Weert. You work closely with colleagues from different disciplines and regularly collaborate with teams at other DHL locations. You take ownership of data and reporting topics from start to finish. You identify bottlenecks, translate business needs into technical solutions and help further improve our reporting and data capabilities. Your responsibilities include: Building and maintaining dashboards in Power BI and translating complex data into clear and actionable insightsAutomating recurring reports and reporting processes using Power AutomateDeveloping and maintaining standardised reporting templatesUsing Python, VBA and/or R for data manipulation, automation and efficient data scriptingUsing advanced SQL to query, manage and connect different data sourcesSupporting and improving data integrations and workflowsManaging and optimising data sources and reporting processesIdentifying bottlenecks and proactively developing improvement solutionsTaking ownership of projects from analysis through implementationWorking closely with operational teams and other stakeholders to ensure solutions work effectively in practiceIn this role, you combine technical expertise with business impact.
