AREO, founded in January 2023, is a young software startup that specialises in the development of innovative solutions for supermarkets and grocery retail stores.
Our groundbreaking B2B SaaS platform optimizes workflows for employees by providing real-time access to inventory, product information, and customer inquiries.
We cater to large supermarket chains in Germany and across the EU.
We are now looking for a highly experienced Lead Developer/Product Owner who's an expert in Ruby on Rails and preferably has a couple years of experience building bootstrapped businesses.
Initially, the role will involve 80% coding and 20% management.
However, anticipate a shift towards an even 50/50 distribution over time.

Responsibilities:

Lead our tech vision and make sure it aligns with our business goals.

Write and review clear, effective code, mostly in Ruby on Rails.
3.
Oversee the growth and upkeep of our cloud-based Rails apps.

Make our product roadmap come to life, hitting key milestones along the way.
5.
Work closely with our CEO to mesh business and tech together.
6.
Coach and guide our tech team, creating a team spirit of getting things done together.
Key Qualifications:
1.
Based in the European Union.
2.
Fluency in English and German.
3.
At least 8 years in tech leadership, with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails.
4.
A keen eye for superior UI/UX, ensuring our product isn’t just functional but also intuitive and visually compelling.
5.
A deep-rooted product-driven mindset, always prioritizing the needs and preferences of the end user.
6.
