About The Role We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at LexisNexis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software solutions that support our core business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality code. Qualifications 3+ years of professional Software Engineering experience.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Proficiency with data manipulation languages and understanding of data modeling principles.Experience working with complex data models and data storage subsystems.Strong technical skills in development languages including Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, and familiarity with Windows, UNIX, and .Net environments.Knowledge of industry best practices such as code coverage and test-driven development.Ability to write and review detailed specifications for system components of moderate complexity.Experience with software development methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Responsibilities Collaborate with technical team members and stakeholders to gather and finalize system requirements.Design, develop, and implement software components aligned with project specifications.Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.Translate complex requirements into efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.Operate effectively within various development environments, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues and bugs promptly.Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions.Complete moderately complex bug fixes and support ongoing system enhancements.Document technical specifications, processes, and code to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize development processes and product quality.Perform other duties as assigned to support team objectives and project timelines. Benefits LexisNexis offers a competitive compensation package, including a U.S. National Base Pay Range of $86,600 to $144,400, with potential geographic differentials to reflect local market rates.
