Description

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with strong hands-on Google Cloud experience to join an established cloud engineering team. This is a highly technical role focused on building and operating secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and developing reusable platform capabilities for engineering teams across the organisation. Key responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform.Build automation and configuration solutions using Python, Bash and Ansible.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.Design and manage GCP networking, including VPCs, subnets, firewall policies and routing.Support hybrid cloud connectivity between GCP and on-premises environments.Implement secure access models using IAM and zero-trust principles.Establish infrastructure standards, governance and reusable cloud patterns.Develop monitoring and observability capabilities across the platform.Lead technical resolution of major incidents and contribute to root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.Work closely with engineering teams to improve automation and platform adoption. What we're looking for: 5+ years' experience in cloud/platform engineering.Strong, current Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience.Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.Experience with Ansible, Python and Bash.Strong understanding of cloud networking and hybrid connectivity.Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.Good understanding of cloud security, IAM and access controls.Experience operating production cloud environments at scale. Desirable Kubernetes / GKE and Docker experience.GCP professional-level certification.Experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools.Knowledge of security and compliance practices.Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment.
