As a key member of our Development team, you will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining the software that powers Glaston's glass tempering machines. In this role, you will focus on software development according to product roadmaps while contributing to Glaston's commitment to engineering excellence. This Is What Your Work Is About Designing software solutions as part of Glaston's automation platform; developing and maintaining core backend applications using .NET and .NET Framework, ensuring code quality and performanceDeveloping software according to product roadmaps for Glaston's glass tempering machines; ensuring software quality and integration with production environments that support Glaston's commitment to engineering excellence and customer satisfactionLeading code quality initiatives through reviews and standards; mentoring junior developers; ensuring adherence to best practices and design patternsWorking closely with QA, Product and Project Management, and Technical Support teams; staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies including modern AI tools; proposing and implementing improvements to development processes and tooling This is the background we are looking for 5+ years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated expertise in enterprise application developmentStrong proficiency in .NET and .NET FrameworkSolid understanding of C# and object-oriented design principles with experience using AI-assisted development tools and relational databases (SQL Server); experience in software architecture design; familiarity with REST APIs, web services, and asynchronous programming patterns and experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practicesStrong communication skills in both English and Finnish, both written and verbalMSc or BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation, or equivalentWillingness to travel occasionally for machine deliveries, technical alignment, and other business needs It is a great bonus if you have Experience with industrial control systems and manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologiesKnowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud-native development.
