Senior Frontend Engineer
The Position:
Reporting to the ΙΤ Commerce Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for:
•Design, develop and maintain modern customer-facing web applications using React and Next.js
•Build reusable, responsive, and brand-aware components based on a shared design system
•Turn UX and visual designs into accurate, maintainable and accessible experiences
•Implement customer journeys across product discovery, navigation, search, account and purchase experiences
•Design and development of mobile applications using React Native or a comparable cross-platform framework
•Reuse of design tokens, business rules and appropriate shared libraries across web and mobile
•Delivery of consistent experiences across browsers, screen sizes and mobile devices
•Make appropriate choices between server-side, static, and client-side rendering
•Integrate web and mobile applications with channel-facing APIs, content platforms, and other digital services
•Implement technical SEO, localization, analytics, and consent-aware tracking requirements
•Create unit, component, integration, and end-to-end tests
•Participate in code reviews, engineering standards, and technical decision-making
•Work closely with Product, UX, Backend, QA, Cloud and Security teams
•Contribute to production monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Competencies required:
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, together with strong professional experience in frontend development
•Strong professional experience with React, Next.js, JavaScript, Angular
•Deep understanding of component architecture, routing, state management, and modern rendering patterns
•Strong HTML5 and CSS skills, including responsive and adaptive design
•Experience developing complex, high-traffic customer-facing applications, ideally in retail
•Experience building or contributing to reusable design systems and component libraries
•Good understanding of REST APIs and front-end-to-backend contracts
•Hands-on experience with automated testing and quality engineering practices
•Experience implementing WCAG 2.2 Level AA or comparable accessibility standards
•Understanding secure web and mobile development, authentication, sessions, cookies and browser security
•Experience with Git-based collaboration, pull requests, and CI/CD workflows
•Clear communication skills and a collaborative, ownership-oriented mindset.

•Headless or composable digital architecture
•Headless content management platforms
•Multi-brand, multi-country, or localized applications
•Search, personalization, analytics, and experimentation capabilities
•Cloud-hosted web applications and Azure DevOps
•Storybook or equivalent component documentation tooling
